Lewis|This was a REALLY interesting story -- a production of "West Side Story" with hearing Jets and Deaf Sharks -- told a little clumsily. I acquired a lot of information (about Deaf culture, sign languages, and customs/practices in theatre, dance, and music used by deaf artists mostly) and I learned the production history of the colle|About the Author|Rigney is a writer whose stories have appeared in THEMA and The Bellevue , and whose plays have been staged at the Foothill Theatre Company, the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and the Alleyway Theatre. He lives in Evansville, IN.
